Starting in the late 1940's, The Greek American Radio Hour has been a very popular station, entertaining Greeks throughout the Baltimore area. Whether it was the drive home from church, or the visit to the local Greek store downtown on a Sunday afternoon, the radio hour was heard by many. Today, they have expanded the Greek culture in various ways. Since 2001, the Boulevard Diner has been a very successful business. It has been awarded by it's local city paper and has been a delight and friendly restaurant for both the neighborhood crowd as well as those coming from all areas in Maryland. The Boulevard Diner was also surprised to find Zafiris Melas, a well known singer from Greece. The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation is a parish of the Metropolis of New Jersey of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, located in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2006, the Annunciation Cathedral of Baltimore will be celebrating its 100th year of Orthodoxy.
