Tony  was taught how to play bouzouki in Greece and by the age of 14 was playing with bands at various events. After graduating from high school, he decided to come back to the United Stated to attend the University of Baltimore. There he attained his BS degree in Accounting. While in college he became an original member of the former Zephyros band, with whom he played for 15 years.

Throughout his music career he played for many functions such as the AHEPA National Conventions in the Bahamas, Jacksonville, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. Besides the countless dances, weddings, christenings, and festivals, he also played for the Cooley’s Anemia benefit dance at the Trump Taj Mahal, opening for the very famous Greek singer, Antypas.

At the age of 26, he met his wife , Maria, who is the lead vocalist of Apollonia. They performed together for a period of 7 years and as a musical young couple captured the hearts of many. After taking a brief break for the birth of their twin little girls, they came back to music scene forming their own musical group, Apollonia, and very quickly have become Baltimore’s most requested Greek band.
